Psychotherapeutic treatments for adults are offered in our Outpatient Clinic for Psychotherapy The costs of therapy can generally be covered by statutory health insurance.
Our outpatient clinic contributes significantly to psychotherapy research with the data from the average of 700 patients treated per year. This includes project and research work by the FSU Jena on the effectiveness of depression treatment in outpatient practice, preventive concepts and self-help tools while waiting for a psychotherapy place, as well as studies on the acceptance and effectiveness of telephone and video therapy in the context of the corona pandemic.
Furthermore, the outpatient clinic participates in the nationwide research network Coordination of Data Collection and Evaluation at Research, Teaching and Training Outpatient Clinics for Psychotherapy (KODAP). The aim of the KODAP research network, which is sponsored by <unith>, is to create a research platform for as many research and teaching outpatient clinics as possible, as well as the <unith> training outpatient clinics, in order to be able to work on clinical-psychological and epidemiological research questions in the field of psychotherapy research on the basis of large data pools. Currently (as of May 2020), 42 <unith> research and training outpatient clinics are participating in the initiative.
The satisfaction of our patients is particularly important to us, which is why we introduced our patient survey in 2016 and evaluate the results annually. The patients' assessments, wishes and ideas have given us many valuable suggestions on how we can further improve our work.
